::On Perceiving::

As she awakens, dawn wears her misty veil
and drapes it—here translucent, there opaque—
over the leaved crowns.

The sky's great golden eye
stretches his bright arms in omniscient blessings.
He awaits celestial permission
before he reaches down and lifts each wet diamond
from the verdant blanket of earth's bed.

As I tread the winding paths of life's forest,
proximity alone undresses that which I come to perceive.

The first stanza paints dawn in the most beautiful manner I have read in a long time. "drapes it—here translucent, there opaque—"... Definitely a beauty of a line to remember. ^_^

Loved the ending, too. A thought-provoking, knock-the-air-out-of-my-chest final line. *grin*

Cheers.
